Carnival announces live act lineup for 2016
Journey, Trace Adkins, Gladys Knight and KC & The Sunshine band will be playing aboard 11 different Carnival vessels in 2016. The headliner acts will be playing in the ships’ main theatre for a ticket price between $40 and $75. Queen Mary 2 winter garden to be turned into British lounge
Cunard announced it’s plans today to remodel the winter garden on Queen Mary 2 and turn it into a stylish new lounge. The new venue will be named after previous vessels and indeed according to initial renderings it very much looks like a historic British lounge.

Royal Caribbean stops No Discount policy
Royal Caribbean seems to abandon it’s recently announced no discount policy. According to the policy, made public in April this year, the cruiseline vowed to stop last minute discounting of unsold cabin inventory. That seems to be gone now, and the discounts return.

MSC announced a new partnership with Cirque du Soleil today. Under the agreement, the newest MSC ships (“Meraviglia” class) will feature a dedicated dinner theatre and lounge where guest can enjoy a specific Cirque du Soleil performance while being served dinner.

Regent Seven Seas Explorer floats for the first time
Regent’s newest ship – the Seven Seas Explorer – floated out of drydock this week and is completing another milestone in its construction. Activity will now focus on completing the interior sections of the vessel.
The luxurious new cruise ship is built by Fincantieri shipyards in Genoa, Italy. The launch is planned for Summer 2016.
