Journey, Trace Adkins, Gladys Knight and KC & The Sunshine band will be playing aboard 11 different Carnival vessels in 2016. The headliner acts will be playing in the ships’ main theatre for a ticket price between $40 and $75. VIP tickets with better seating, photo opportunity with the star and “commemorative concert pass” are also available for $150 to $250.
Carnival is calling these headliner acts “LIVE Performances”. They are basically a concert at sea. The line claims that ticket prices are “significantly less” than land-based performances of the same artists. Concerts will be featured on cruises departing the mainland US while the vessels are docked in St. Thomas, Cozumel or Nassau.
Grammy winner Gladys Knight will perform on Carnival Liberty, Carnival Valor and Carnival Splendor in St. Thomas February 1-3 and feature a best-of her musical career. KC & The Sunshine Band will perform in Cozumel March 22-24 on Carnival Paradise, Carnival Fantasy and Carnival Breeze. The band had four consecutive number one singles in the 70s. The band JOURNEY will perform in Nassau May 5 and May 6th on Carnival Pride and Carnival Victory. Lastly Trace Adkins will play in Nassau on July 6th-8th on the Carnival Freedom, Carnival Dream and Carnival Conquest.
