Royal Caribbean is sending Liberty of the Seas into drydock early 2016. New Features to include luxury staterooms, dining and a thrilling boomerang slide.
Liberty will receive a total of three new waterslides including a new “boomerang” style design called Tidal Wave. Sitting on inflatable tubes, riders will experience a steep drop, then get propelled up a near vertical wall and plunge forward. The other two slides will be “speed” waterslides to be added to the rear of the ship next to the surfing simulator.
The ship will also receive 70+ new staterooms of which 23 will be floor-to-ceiling windowed “Panoramic Oceanview” cabins.
There will also be new restaurants and bars on board. Sabor will be a new Mexican eatery featuring contemporary, modern latin inspired meals. Guest can also enjoy Giovannis Table featuring classic, family-style Italian food or relax in the 1960 inspired R-Bar.
According to the cruiseline the drydock will take about a month and will be performed in February 2016.
